INSCRIPTION

Here lyeth Ye body of
JOHN
sonne & heire of
Charles Mill of Brendon, Gent.,
buries ye 8 day of January, 1631
---
Also of
EDWARD
his sonne
buried ye 15 of January, 1631
and
ELIZABETH
ye Mother of Charles Mill
buried ye 29 day of April 1610

Stay, thou that passest by, let fall a look
If not a Teare vpon this vrning nook;
Wherein a Mother, Wth Gra'dchildren three
Entombed are, each clayms thyn Elegee.
This praseful Matron held her footo so ev'n
That by Desert no scandell could be giv’n.
Her tender ofspring, hopeful, bloomi’g plants,
Deserue a moystned Eye, throbs, sighs, & pants.
The eldest, not full sixteen, thriued well
In human lerning, & did most excell;
Thrice hopeful Earnest of his Trib’ & Race,
Till Deaths grim lictor did exchang his Place.
Wch When Wth in a weeke of Brothers de&h,
The younger likewise lost his vitatll breath.
