Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord
This stone is erected to the memory of
ZACHARIAS
son of John & Sarah Inch of this parish
who died aged 21 on the
15th day of September 1833
O cease my mournful friends to weep
That life's short glass so soon is run
And tho in death's cold arms I sleep
Exclaim thy will O Lord be done
say sprightly youth do ??? life presume
Observe the date and tremble at this tomb
To youth nor strength nor youthful vigour ???
Behold here death hath laid them in the dust
God only knows who next will ???
Reader prepare! Perhaps it may be thee
